My Rains Series is inspired by my love of everything "water" - from the Pacific Ocean itself to the rains I loved for years around my previous home and studio in Oregon. This series launched my experimentation into mixing oil and watercolor paints.

Like all my abstracts, my Rains are also inspired by the colors and shapes of the urban and rural terrains I've discovered on my travels throughout North American and Europe. Each paintings is layers of oil paint and metallic watermedia paints.
