"Black Ice" by David Castle
These shapes are inspired by the ice formations I found on my artist residency trip in 2018 to the arctic circle around Svalbard, Norway. With metallic silver rivulet highlights.
- Part of my Pacific Rains series, inspired by rivulets of rain.
- This oil and metallic watercolor painting on paper is mounted on gallery panel (1.5" deep) and sealed with varnish that contains UV filters for protection from light damage.
