My Squares Series began as I thought I might be winding down my 20+ year career as an abstract artist. A chance discussion with one of my best Collectors revealed that he would 3-D print painting instruments similar to the PVC pipe connectors that I use to paint my Circles. But square. He printed me a batch of test squares and I'm working away on a new series.

Like all my abstracts, my Squares are inspired by the colors and shapes of the urban and rural terrains I've discovered on my travels throughout North American and Europe. Each paintings is layers of oil paint and metallic watermedia paints.
