"Eclipse" by David Castle
This painting features eighty one of my "floating" circles - each individually painted on a square of watercolor paper and mounted to panel. If you look carefully but not closely, you'll see this is one of my sunset abstract. Cool dusk, clouds and sky at the top and the pinks and purples of the sinking sun on the Pacific horizon. Each circle floats on metallic silver and features a pop in the center with silver rivulets running through each.
- This oil and metallic watermedia painting on paper is mounted on gallery panel (1.5" deep) and sealed with varnish that contains UV filters for protection from light damage.
