"Color Coded" by David Castle
This painting features sixteen of my "floating" circles - each individually painted on a square of watercolor paper and mounted to panel. I thought about marine signals and the codes they might pass across the water. Each blue circle floats on metallic silver and features a pop in the center.
- This oil and metallic watermedia painting on paper is mounted on gallery panel (1.5" deep) and sealed with varnish that contains UV filters for protection from light damage.
